Wake Forest University agrees with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Principles Committee that providing sufficient time for students to evaluate the employment opportunities offered to them allows them to make the wisest decisions for all concerned, creating a positive experience for candidates and employers, and ultimately reducing renege and attrition rates.
We encourage students to behave ethically during the employment process and advise our students against offer reneges. Likewise, we ask that employers act in good faith – grant adequate notification of interview selection, provide students adequate time to consider offers, and uphold employment offers.
